Plastisac currently provides four types of traceability systems for application to polyethylene products: barcode, QR code, numeric code, and RFID tag. By printing barcodes or QR codes directly on our products, without having to add any labels, it is possible to match individual items with unique codes that can be traced back to technical information, or to in-depth information relating directly to the packaging or the product contained inside. These systems make it possible to identify all components of the production process, from inception to the advanced stages of processing and marketing, guaranteeing protection and safety in between. It is possible to obtain technical or in-depth information thanks to the barcode or QR code printed on the bags, having assigned a unique code to the individual article. Some of the types of information that can be retrieved through traceability systems are:

• Origin of raw materials
• Identification of contributors to the product
• Production methods
• Manufacturing processes
• Modes of transport adopted

Plastisac manufactures transparent traceable HDPE/LDPE bags for various uses:

• Polyethylene bags suitable for food contact: available in different sizes and formats, customisable and certified for food contact. Suitable for all food-related processes thanks to the strict manufacturing procedures adopted.
• Non-food bags in HDPE/LDPE: ideal for packaging different types of non-food products. Various formats, sizes and thicknesses are available. They can be used in a variety of sectors such as clothing, hosiery, pharmaceuticals and many others.
