This section shows the certifications earned by Plastisac, both in terms of product certification and quality of production processes, demonstrating the Company's constant commitment to complying with the very high quality standards required.
The BRCGS Packaging Materials certification, also known as Global Standard for Packaging Materials or BRCGS GSPP certification for packaging and packaging materials, is one of the most important international awards in terms of safety, quality and conformity of materials intended for packaging, with particular attention to the food sector. The certification, issued by the BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standards), ensures that packaging materials are safe, traceable and compliant with current regulations, while guaranteeing high hygiene standards along the entire production chain: from the selection of raw materials up to packaging and distribution. The certification represents a further guarantee that polyethylene products for the food sector made by Plastisac comply with the highest international standards.
Plastisac has always been committed to providing high-performance and high-quality solutions, and above all to ensuring that they are as sustainable and applicable as possible within a circular economy process. Obtaining this important certification is part of this perspective. The certification has allowed the company to validate the management system for the calculation of the product carbon footprint, which is the analysis of the carbon footprint of the life cycle of each product made by the company. The validation of the calculation system allows to calculate the carbon footprint of any product and no longer just the bag with the RFID tag, as before. The production cycle of the products respects the univocal normative reference at international level and, for this reason, it was possible to obtain the UNI EN ISO 14067: 2018 - CFP SYSTEMATIC APPROACH certification.
With reference to issues related to quality control, Plastisac has been constantly working since 1997 to research and develop initiatives and actions deemed useful for defining and monitoring quality standards assessed periodically by the Company top management. UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, renewed until 2021, which has become famous over time due to its importance, is issued by DNV Business Assurance Italia Srl.
