Sustainability and New Certification

A more and more sustainable and certified approach

Plastisac strongly believes that flexible packaging sector must be oriented towards sustainability and circular economy policies. For this reason, this year, in addition to the usual renewal of quality certifications (UNI EN ISO 9001:2015) and good manufacturing practices (UNI EN 15593:2008), the company has achieved, thanks to the collaboration with SEPRIM SRL, a new certification: UNI EN ISO 14067:2018 Carbon Footprint Systematic Approach.

Through this certification Plastisac has validated its own system for the calculation of the CO2 emissions of the product, and now, it is possible to determine the Carbon Footprint of the packaging supplied to its customers. This system will be essential to reduce, in the near future, the environmental impact of the products made, enhancing the sustainability actions undertaken in recent years.

From now on, all Plastisac customers will be able to request the calculation of the Catbon Footprint of their products, which will be provided through an official certificate; in this way, the Customers themselves will be able to take actions aimed at sustainability, starting from a concrete datum by collaborating with Plastisac to reach a circular and sustainable market.
